Thinking About DealDash Holiday Donations

DealDash

The holiday season is upon us. It’s time to start thinking about what you can win on DealDash to donate.

DealDash is the perfect place to win some things to donate to the less fortunate this holiday season. There are lots of things that would be just right thing that people could love and get lots of use out of. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Winning Toys to Donate

Since Christmas is most children’s favorite holiday, it only makes sense to make special plans to get toys to donate. Children of all ages, birth on up love to unwrap toys and gifts, so why not make some less fortunate kids happy this holiday season.

There are many different choices of toys on DealDash. There are things like night lights and stuffed animals for younger kids, Lego sets for bigger kids, and video games and electronics for teens. Remember, just because these teens aren’t adorable little kids anymore doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t love to open up a present on Christmas morning.

Where Can I Donate?

If you’re looking for a place to donate your DealDash wins, that’s easy. Toys For Tots is a wonderful and worthy cause that will be happy to take your new and unwrapped toys. There are many Toys For Tots donation drop-offs. You can find a Toys For Tots drop-off location at Toysfortots.org.

Donating items to a family instead of just one child can be a nice thing to do as well. You can pick a family from the “Angel Tree” at your local mall or church. The Angel Tree donations are run by the Salvation Army. So if you’d like to donate to the Angel Tree program but can’t find a tree to pick from, then just look up your local Salvation Army’s website.

My personal favorite place to donate to during the holiday season is social services, the agency that takes care of foster children. On any given day, there are over 400,000 children in foster care in the United States. DealDash has not only toys, but also clothing, shoes, and grooming items, all of which could be very useful for a child or teen in foster care.

BidBuddy Helps You Donate

If you’re wondering how to win these items for less fortunate children, the answer is clear – use the BidBuddy! The BidBuddy is available to every bidder, free of charge. You can use him to help in any auction, even auctions that are happening at the same time.

The BidBuddy is easy to use as well. Simply open up any DealDash auction that you’re interested in bidding on, and in the middle of the screen, you will see a space and a button that says “Book a Bid Buddy”. Click on the space that says “add bids here” and put in the number of bids that you are willing to spend on this particular DealDash auction. Then hit enter. The BidBuddy is the best way to win auctions to donate to the less fortunate on DealDash.

Help Your Kids Plan a DealDash Christmas Party!

DealDashChristmas parties are fun! Help your child plan a party with some input from DealDash.

With the holiday season upon us your child may have made the decision that they’s like to throw a Christmas party for their friends. This is an excellent chance for you to teach your child time management skills as there are many things for the party that will need to be planned. DealDash can help you with the party supplies. Read on for more information on how to help your child plan a Christmas party.

Who’s Invited?

First, you’ll want to talk to your child about who they want to invite to the party. You will then want to work with them on the invitations that they will send out to the friends that they are inviting. You can choose to purchase invitations or it would be fun to make invitations to the party. There are many websites devoted to making cards. I’m sure that your child would love to do a craft project with you making invitations for the party.

Refreshments, Anyone?

The next thing on the list for party planning should be the food and drinks that you and your child will prepare. You will, of course, want to decide on child appropriate refreshments and food so that you know that your child’s friends will enjoy eating and drinking. Be sure to find out if any party guests have any food allergies before deciding on anything.

It’s always disappointing to try and prepare party food when you don’t have the right equipment. Thankfully, DealDash can help you with that problem. Simply click on this link to go to the Kitchen and Dining category on DealDash.

When you get there, you will see all of the great kitchen and dining supplies they have available to help you with the food preparation. DealDash has everything kitchen-wise from cookie sheets to pots and pans to serving dishes. Just visit the Kitchen and Dining category on DealDash and you will be all set!

Decorate for the Party

Decorations are another thing that your child will need to think about. If you have already put up Christmas decorations in your home you are already set for party decorations. However, you may want to make some festive decorations with your child to help them put their own personal touch on their party.  DealDash also has some lawn decorations up for auction that will make your child’s party an amazing success. Just click this link right here and you will be taken to DealDash to check them out.

Party Games for All

You and your child will also want to decide on what activities that their party guests will be doing at the Christmas party. You again will want to decide on child friendly activities that everyone should enjoy. Also, make sure that an adult will be supervising the activities that will go on so no one gets hurt. Once you have all of these bases cover you are all set you enjoy watching your child enjoy time with their friends at their Christmas party.

Halloween Safety Tips from DealDash

DealDashWith Halloween just a week and a few days away it’s time to think about safety tips. Here safety tips you need to know, from DealDash.

Sure, you can get a great bargain on DealDash, but do you know what else you can get? Tips, tricks, and advice about a multitude of things. Today we are going to be talking about Halloween safety tips. These are very important tips, because with all of the children out on Halloween night it doesn’t hurt to be extra careful. Here are some things that you’ll want to keep in mind about Halloween safety, from DealDash.

Costume Safety

There are few things more important than costume safety. Costume safety can mean the difference between a car being able to see your child at night or not. Be sure that your child’s costume is a good fit, and they are able to see out of the eyes and hear if they have a mask covering their ears.

I know that Halloween is a spooky time where many of the costumes are black, but please make sure that the costume isn’t completely black – and if it is, add a reflective strip so that cars will be able to see your child in the dark.

Stranger Safety

Halloween is one of the few times of the year when children are encouraged to knock on stranger’s doors and speak to them. Children who wouldn’t normally speak to a stranger have no qualms about doing it on Halloween to get candy. If your children are young enough that you want to accompany them to every house, then it’s no problem.

However, if you have a child that’s a bit older who wants to go with their friends instead of mom, dad, or the grandparents then encourage them to use caution. Try to get them to agree to only go to neighbor’s houses that you know. If that isn’t possible, then ask them to send you a quick “check-in” text after every 20 houses. It might not be a “cool” thing to do in front of their friends, but their safety is paramount.

Safety on DealDash

Speaking of safety, did you know that DealDash has it’s very own safety net built in for bidders? It’s true. It’s called BIN or Buy It Now, and it will keep your bids safe in the event that you lose the auction.

When an auction ends the last person to bid is the winner of the auction. If you aren’t the winner of the auction and you have placed at least one bid you are eligible to BIN the auction. When you BIN the item for the retail price you get ALL of the bids back that you placed, as well as getting free shipping. Isn’t that a lovely safety net that DealDash has built into each and every auction?

Thanks for Reading the DealDash Blog

I hope this article on Halloween safety tips DealDash has been helpful for those of you with little ones that are going trick or treating this year. Children grow up so fast, it’s important to let them enjoy fun days like Halloween, but it’s important to be safe.

Happy 4th of July 2017, DealDashers!

DealDash

The 4th of July is upon us! Tomorrow is a day of celebration on DealDash!

DealDash loves holidays, you can plainly tell that by the sales that have been run during past holidays such as .12 bids, free auctions, and 50 or 100 auctions starting at once. I can’t guarantee what sort of fun surprises and sales that DealDash has in store for you tomorrow, but you had better check it out in the morning and find out!

Holidays Are a Great time to Bid

You may or may not have noticed, but holidays are usually a spectacular time to bid (and win!) on DealDash. Why is this? This is because typically on holidays most people are out doing activities with their family and friends. If you’re able to spare an hour here and there to check in on what’s happening on DealDash, then you will be rewarded with easier to win auctions, because there is less competition. Just think, when other people are out on the deck just chatting you could be inside in the air conditioning winning some awesome items! After you win, then you can go out and chat!

No Time to Bid? Use the BidBuddy Instead!

Maybe you have already committed to a day of fun with family and friends. That’s okay, too! You can still get in on the fun, excitement, and holiday wins by using the BidBuddy to bid on your place for you. If you’re not familiar with how the BidBuddy works, it’s easy! The BidBuddy is simple to learn how to use. Just open up any auction from the main page, and you will see the button to bid now, or the “Book a BidBuddy” button. If you’d like to use the BidBuddy, just input the amount of bids that you want to spend on the auction. The BidBuddy is free to use, so why not let it help you out when you need it? You are able to cancel it or add more bids at any time. If you want to be an auction winner on a holiday when you’re not at your computer, then the BidBuddy is the way to go!

Happy Halloween 2016 from DealDash!

http://www.dealdash.com/?utm_source=referral&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=DDBlogDawn

Happy Halloween! Here’s to a safe and fun Halloween for everyone.

Halloween is a time for scary fun, and great seasonal treats as well. Halloween perfectly embodies the spirit of the crisp and chilly fall season. The earliest traces of the origin of Halloween are found with the Celtic festival, Samhain, which was the Celtic New Year. Samhain, of course, has very little to do with today’s Halloween festivities, though.

Gemmy Halloween Airblown Pumpkins Stack on Each Other

If you’re wondering why we carve pumpkins on Halloween, carving a “Jack-o’-lantern” originated with the Irish immigrants (Hi Grandma and Grandpa!) brought the tradition to America, where pumpkins were plentiful and far easier to carve than the original large turnips and potatoes that were used in Ireland. The story about the Jack-o’-lantern comes from an Irish folktale about a man named Stingy Jack. The story is much too scary to tell here on this family blog – but suffice to say that carving  a Jack-o’-lantern is a perfect thing to do to get into a spooky frame of mind.

Interestingly enough, Halloween is the second most commercially successful holiday here in the USA – trailing after Christmas, of course. You might wonder what all of that money is going towards. Candy is a huge part of it, of course, Americans buy about 600 million pounds of candy each year for Halloween. Also going towards the tally are costumes, pumpkins, party supplies, and decorations. About 50% of households in the US decorate for Halloween, which makes things so much more fun for the trick-or-treaters.

If you didn’t decorate your house for Halloween this year, consider decorating next year. DealDash can help – throughout the year DealDash offers a selection of Halloween decorations, including large inflatable lawn decorations that are usually very expensive. You can get an awesome deal if you win one! And if you don’t win, you can always BIN (Buy It Now) and receive all of your bids back to try again on another auction, as well as getting free shipping. Now that’s a ghoul of a deal! Just click this link here to visit DealDash. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!
