Happy Columbus Day 2017! DealDash loves to celebrate holidays! There are always special promos on holidays. Read on…

If you think that DealDash’s bid prices were low last week – well, you should check them out today! DealDash often offers discount bids, however, on holidays, the bids are always a special promotional price. DealDash gives you another reason to enjoy holidays because low, low bid prices are a reason to celebrate! Read on for more information.

What are Some Other DealDash Promos?

DealDash often offers other special promotions besides special bid prices on holidays. Be sure to visit DealDash on every holiday, because you can often score free wins, or given 50% off the final auction fee. You will know when DealDash is offering one of these promotions because it will announce it on the banner at the top of the main auction page. You will also be able to tell from all of the stiff competition! However, you can often sneak in and get an excellent win even on Free Auction days.

Another promotion that people love is the 50 (or 75, or 100) Auctions Begin at Once promo. I adore this promotion because I have gotten so many wins with this promo. If you’re not familiar with this promo, it is exactly how it sounds – a large amount of auctions all begin at the same time. This makes for a frantic, fun, and exciting time. I have seen so many .01, .02, and .03 wins when this promotion takes place. The next 1 cent winner could be you when you participate in this promotion!

If You’re Busy with Your Family – Get the App

I understand that sometimes it’s hard to spend a lot of time on DealDash on the holidays. You are often busy with your family, and many times you might not even be at home because you are celebrating elsewhere. No problem. You can download the DealDash app and take DealDash with you wherever you go.

Downloading the DealDash app just takes a moment, and it’s even free! It’s handy for bidding anywhere and anytime you would like. I find it especially useful on holidays and when I am visiting family and don’t bring my computer with me. Simply click on this link right here and it will take you to your free DealDash app download.

If you like the app, please consider leaving it a review on either the Google Play store or the App store. If you have any problems or questions regarding the app, contact DealDash customer service and they will be happy to help you figure it out.

Happy 4th of July 2017, DealDashers!

DealDash

The 4th of July is upon us! Tomorrow is a day of celebration on DealDash!

DealDash loves holidays, you can plainly tell that by the sales that have been run during past holidays such as .12 bids, free auctions, and 50 or 100 auctions starting at once. I can’t guarantee what sort of fun surprises and sales that DealDash has in store for you tomorrow, but you had better check it out in the morning and find out!

Holidays Are a Great time to Bid

You may or may not have noticed, but holidays are usually a spectacular time to bid (and win!) on DealDash. Why is this? This is because typically on holidays most people are out doing activities with their family and friends. If you’re able to spare an hour here and there to check in on what’s happening on DealDash, then you will be rewarded with easier to win auctions, because there is less competition. Just think, when other people are out on the deck just chatting you could be inside in the air conditioning winning some awesome items! After you win, then you can go out and chat!

No Time to Bid? Use the BidBuddy Instead!

Maybe you have already committed to a day of fun with family and friends. That’s okay, too! You can still get in on the fun, excitement, and holiday wins by using the BidBuddy to bid on your place for you. If you’re not familiar with how the BidBuddy works, it’s easy! The BidBuddy is simple to learn how to use. Just open up any auction from the main page, and you will see the button to bid now, or the “Book a BidBuddy” button. If you’d like to use the BidBuddy, just input the amount of bids that you want to spend on the auction. The BidBuddy is free to use, so why not let it help you out when you need it? You are able to cancel it or add more bids at any time. If you want to be an auction winner on a holiday when you’re not at your computer, then the BidBuddy is the way to go!

Happy Halloween 2016 from DealDash!

http://www.dealdash.com/?utm_source=referral&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=DDBlogDawn

Happy Halloween! Here’s to a safe and fun Halloween for everyone.

Halloween is a time for scary fun, and great seasonal treats as well. Halloween perfectly embodies the spirit of the crisp and chilly fall season. The earliest traces of the origin of Halloween are found with the Celtic festival, Samhain, which was the Celtic New Year. Samhain, of course, has very little to do with today’s Halloween festivities, though.

Gemmy Halloween Airblown Pumpkins Stack on Each Other

If you’re wondering why we carve pumpkins on Halloween, carving a “Jack-o’-lantern” originated with the Irish immigrants (Hi Grandma and Grandpa!) brought the tradition to America, where pumpkins were plentiful and far easier to carve than the original large turnips and potatoes that were used in Ireland. The story about the Jack-o’-lantern comes from an Irish folktale about a man named Stingy Jack. The story is much too scary to tell here on this family blog – but suffice to say that carving  a Jack-o’-lantern is a perfect thing to do to get into a spooky frame of mind.

Interestingly enough, Halloween is the second most commercially successful holiday here in the USA – trailing after Christmas, of course. You might wonder what all of that money is going towards. Candy is a huge part of it, of course, Americans buy about 600 million pounds of candy each year for Halloween. Also going towards the tally are costumes, pumpkins, party supplies, and decorations. About 50% of households in the US decorate for Halloween, which makes things so much more fun for the trick-or-treaters.

If you didn’t decorate your house for Halloween this year, consider decorating next year. DealDash can help – throughout the year DealDash offers a selection of Halloween decorations, including large inflatable lawn decorations that are usually very expensive. You can get an awesome deal if you win one! And if you don’t win, you can always BIN (Buy It Now) and receive all of your bids back to try again on another auction, as well as getting free shipping. Now that’s a ghoul of a deal! Just click this link here to visit DealDash. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Happy National Senior Citizen’s Day from DealDash

Tomorrow, August 21st is National Senior Citizen Day. I’m sure you know a few senior citizens, let’s take a moment to honor our elders.

Take a moment to think – who are some important senior citizens in your life? Maybe your parents or even your grandparents are still with us, perhaps you have an elderly neighbor, friend, teacher, or other person in your life that you would like to celebrate on Senior Citizen Day.

Do you know where the term “senior citizen” started? It was actually started during a 1938 political campaign as a euphemism for “elder person,” and is now known everywhere. Some dictionaries define the term “senior citizen” as a person over the age of 65.

Legally, the term senior citizen applies to the age at which pensions, social security or medical benefits for the elderly become available. Here in the USA, traditionally people have been eligible to retire with full Social Security benefits at age 65. Additionally, one can retire early at age 62 and receive a portion of their retirement benefits.

Now that we have defined the term, let’s think of ways that we can show appreciation to our oldest of friends and family. You could get them a card, of course. Everyone appreciates a card now and then. Flowers are always appreciated as well, especially by the ladies.

Another way that you could show your favorite senior how much you love them is to come over and cook dinner for them. How about bringing over some delicious steaks and grilling them for your parents or grandparents? DealDash always has some grills up for auction. If you want to see the items that are related to grills and grilling on DealDash just click here.

If you would really like to make a senior’s day, how about teaching them how to use DealDash? Most of the senior citizens that I know all own computers, smart phones, and even iPads. Why not show our favorite elders how to have fun and win wonderful deals on DealDash?

I hope that this article has given you some ideas on how to make a senior’s life a little brighter. Make sure that you have a plan in place for honoring your favorite seniors, and then check out DealDash. Remember, these senior citizens paved the way for us, so be kind to them. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Classic Easter Bunny Gift Basket

If you’re more of a creative do-it-yourself-er type, let’s see what sort of great things that DealDash has to offer so you can make up your own gift baskets for a child or a young at heart adult. I personally love making up my own gift baskets for my children, but I know that not everyone has time for that. If you do have time to make up your own baskets, read on to get a few ideas.

To start off with, of course you need some type of basket. I think that it makes great sense to use this adorable Monster High bike basket, because not only can it hold the Easter goodies, after Easter is done, then the child can get some use out of the basket instead of just throwing it away. Here is a link to that particular basket here.

After you have secured yourself a basket, you have to think to yourself “Huumm, what does this person really like?” For a smaller kid that might mean a Barbie doll or maybe a small Lego set, but for an older child it might mean a gift card to somewhere like Gamestop or Target.

Holiday Trips with Children and DealDash

Here it is, the end of October! Does your family travel in November and December to visit relatives? If you have small kids even a small weekend trip requires preparation.

November is just a day away, and with November we have Thanksgiving, then of course December is right behind it with all of the holidays that come with it. My family makes at least 3 or 4 small trips in the winter season to visit various relatives, and let me tell you, travelling with small kids can be awful if you aren’t prepared.

Coleman Cooler Combo, Red

First and foremost, you should acquire a cooler that fits comfortably in your car, and fill it with all sorts of snacks and drinks. Even if the trip you’re taking to Grandma’s or Auntie’s is only a couple of hours, the kids will be whining “I’m hunnnnggrrryyy!” at the first fast food place they see. Save your money and your time by preempting the hungries with kid friendly snacks such as grapes, goldfish crackers, pretzels, and juice boxes in your cooler. You can find some nice travel coolers on DealDash in the Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games section.

RCA 7-Inch Dual Screen DVD PlayerApple iPod Classic 160GB MP3 PlayerApple iPad mini with Retina display Wi-Fi 32GB, Space Gray

Next up in saving your sanity, entertainment! There there are some great products out there such as portable DVD players for the car, and of course MP3 players and tablets. Just make sure that you get some headphones for the kids from DealDash. That way the kids will be occupied with their devices and you can have some peace and quiet. Check the Electronics & Computer section for a variety of headphones and other electronic devices. A word of advice, though – if you have small kids under the age of 12 or so, please don’t let them use earbuds. Earbuds aren’t safe for younger kids who don’t realize that it will hurt their ears to turn up the volume too loud. Please choose over-the-ear styles for younger kids. A lot of the headphones meant for children have a built in volume regulator so the kids can’t turn them up too loudly and damage their hearing. Please check the headphones carefully before you let your kids use them to be sure they are at a safe volume.

Hopefully you and your kids will have a great holiday season visiting your family this year. Check out  DealDash and I’m sure you’ll find something to entertain even the most difficult child. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!
