Doing the Right Thing on DealDash

DealDash

Sometimes it’s tricky to know when you’re doing the right thing on DealDash. Here are some tips to keep in mind when you think you’re making a mistake.

When you are new on DealDash, it’s easy to second-guess yourself and think that maybe you aren’t doing the right thing. You can’t always avoid mistakes, but if you pay attention to the tips in this blog you will find yourself making less of the common mistakes, and doing the right thing more often. Read on for some great tips and tricks from the DealDash Blog.

Should I Buy the Bids or Not?

Something that many people wonder when they first join DealDash is when is the right time to buy bids. Of course, the answer is “right now” if you need them to participate in an auction that’s currently running. However, if you’re wondering when the right time is to stock up on DealDash bids, then my advice is to wait for a holiday weekend and stock up by buying the largest bid pack that will fit in your budget.

Waiting for a holiday sounds like it might take a long time, but there are holidays in every month. For instance, we have Valentine’s Day this month, St. Patrick’s Day in March, and Easter in April. I can’t guarantee that there will be an amazing sale on bids on these holiday weekends. However, if you look into past sales on DealDash, the best deals on bid packs are always on holidays.

Should I Use the BidBuddy or Not?

New bidders on DealDash are typically a little befuddled with the BidBuddy. If they haven’t read the blogs to understand how he works or taken the tutorial to get a chance to use him, then they might opt out. That definitely wouldn’t be doing the right thing, because the BidBuddy is your #1 tool to help you win DealDash auctions.

The BidBuddy is on every single auction that’s held on DealDash, and he is free for everyone to use. Not knowing how to use the BidBuddy is common at first, but you can follow these easy directions and you’ll be bidding in no time.

  1. Choose an auction
  2. Find the box in the auction that says “Book a BidBuddy”
  3. Type in the number of bids as you are willing to spend on an auction
  4. Hit Enter

So you see, it’s very easy to do the right thing and use the BidBuddy on every auction that you enter. You should, because almost everyone else is, so you will be at a disadvantage if you are placing single-bids.

Don’t Psyche Yourself Out and Make DealDash Mistakes

dealdashDealDash can be fun, but sometimes if you think about winning too much you can psyche yourself out. Read this article, it will help.

Newbies and long-time DealDash players alike can think about winning a certain auction and psyche themselves out. This can lead to less enjoyment when using DealDash. Bidding in auctions is supposed to be fun and entertaining, not stressful. There are a few things that you can do to lessen the chance of psyching yourself out, so read on for more information from DealDash.

Pay Attention – But Don’t Stress

I know that I will occasionally watch as auction as it’s going, just waiting for the right time to jump in and bid. Honestly, that’s a good way to psyche yourself out, just waiting and watching. It would be a better plan, in my opinion, to simply place 1 bid to keep yourself in the game. This way you can relax a little, and not be constrained to thing that you need to jump in bidding before you’re ready.

Once you have taken the pressure off of yourself and you know that you aren’t locked out of the auction then you can relax and observe. You can pay attention to the bidders coming and going before you make your move.

Once-in-a-Lifetime Auctions are Rare

Occasionally there will be a “one-off” auction on DealDash that never returns. I can only think of a few things that were only auctioned once and never to be seen again. I know that many people can feel psyched out if they think it’s their “one big chance” to get something.

You can alleviate this feeling by simply browsing through the future auctions on DealDash, or typing the item into the search bar. If you see that there is another auction for the same item starting the next day then there’s no reason to psyche yourself out about “missing” this one if you aren’t able to win.

If you see the item when you do a search, but there isn’t a starting time listed it means that it will most likely be back, but there isn’t yet a second auction for this item scheduled. You can just set an alert, and DealDash will send you an email when this item is going to return to DealDash.

How to Set an Alert

After finding an auction that you would like to be notified on, look on the right side of the screen. There will be a blue button that says “Alert Me”. Click on the “Alert Me” button, then when the item is coming up for auction DealDash will send you an email. You can keep yourself calm because you know that DealDash will let you know when the item of your choice will be back for bidding.
